Exploration and development of ultramafic rocks in search of awaruite nickel also present a unique opportunity in the emerging Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) market. BC Mining Properties acknowledges this opportunity and plans to;

  • Follow companies like FPX Nickel’s subsidiary CO2 Lock Corp. and others as they develop business models for the possibilities of commercializing carbon capture & storage (CCS) within ultramafic, brucite-rich host rocks. The premise is to one-day construct and operate commercial CCS projects capable of permanently and profitably locking away millions of tonnes of CO2 per year.

  • Assess and consider acquisitions of additional land packages hosting the necessary ultramafic geology and host rocks that facilitate the capture and sequestration of CO2 emissions.

  • Consider investing in exploration and engineering to advance the development of large-scale carbon properties capable of mineralizing carbon dioxide in these rocks or associated carbon-depleted waters both at-surface and in underground (in-situ) mineralization.
