BIG ROCK SHOWING

Below are a series of still-pictures from the Big Rock 2 Video showcasing some of the mineralization across the approximate 5’ x 5’ mineralized face of the boulder.

Looking toward the top RH corner of the large blown-up image immediately below, there appears to be a section of rock embedded with plagoiclase feldspar much like what you would expect to see in a porphyritic host-rock such as andesite or monzonite porphyry.

OTHER NOTES: After several blows with a 3 lb. rock hammer I was unable to penetrate the face of the boulder. The conclusion being this rock type is similar in hardness to granite.

Although I have not identified the Big Rock type with certainty, having only viewed it once, I believe it to be basalt with a possible mix of basalt porphyry based on the blown-up picture below.

BASALT PORPHYRY?

*Note what appears to be a fluid channel running up the center of the picture (above).

Below are several close-up pictures of a porphyritic float sample taken from the Bonaparte property and shown in the 1st picture. The sample was broken into a few pieces and washed.

The 2nd picture is taken with a iPhone 10 through the lens of a Seiwa jeweler’s - geologist’s microscope (unknown magnification).

Chalcopyrite, phenocrysts of plagoiclase feldspar, quartz, biotite, sericite along with various other minerals, metals and crystals may also be seen.

NOTE: XRF analyses of this sample indicates an average between 0.1% - 0.3% Copper and +/- 1.5% Sulfur
